Jammu: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Ram Madhav has claimed on Friday that Jammu and Kashmir's people have welcomed the status of the Union Territory, after the central government's decision to repeal Article 370 of the Constitution Peace remains in the entire region. Ram Madhav said, 'The people of Jammu and Kashmir have welcomed the formation of the Union Territory. I have met many representatives, youth and local residents in Srinagar and Jammu. Everyone is expecting a bright future.

Ram Madhav said, 'Since the government's historic decision, peace has remained in the area. There has been no loss of life in the last five months. More than that, the areas of the valley are quiet, where regular stone pelting incidents took place. '' He said, 'The credit of peaceful atmosphere also goes to the public'. He praised the local administration for conducting high school (10th) and intermediate (12th) exams on time.

He said that, 'About 99 percent of the students were present in the examination. It shows that people also want to allow the Union Territory to develop in the right direction. Ram Madhav said that political activities are becoming normal in Jammu and Kashmir and only 30-32 prominent leaders in the state have been kept in custody.
