Therefore, in the year 1946, 15 of the 16 state congressional committees to elect Congress president, Nehru became Congress president even after 15 presidents did not support Nehru. Acharya Kripalani was the only person who supported Nehru. These things were told by senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy.
