New Delhi: According to the statement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy, India's nationality of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi may be taken away soon. The file for this is on the table of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and he may take a decision on the matter soon.

According to a media report, Subramanian Swamy was speaking at a seminar organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Hyderabad. During this, he said, 'The file is on the table of Home Minister Amit Shah and soon they (Rahul and Sonia) will lose their citizenship.' Talking about the constitution, the BJP leader said that while being an Indian citizen, people who take citizenship of another country will automatically lose their citizenship of India.

Let us tell you that Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister Subramanian Swamy was addressing the students on the subject of 'CAA- A Historical Essentialism Beyond Contemporary Politics' organized at Hyderabad University. During this time, Swami made a big disclosure. According to which, Rahul Gandhi himself opted for British citizenship to do business in England. So on this basis, they can lose citizenship of India.
