NEW DELHI: On a report filed with the Punjab Police's cybercell in Mohali, BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga was arrested from his Delhi home on Friday.

Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga, the national secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), was arrested last month after AAP activist Sunny Singh submitted a complaint against him, stating that he had made provocative statements, propagated rumours, and attempted to promote religious and communal hostility.

During a rally on March 30, Bagga allegedly threatened Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The police received testimony and video recordings of Bagga from the complaint.

The arrest was denounced by the BJP. "Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, has begun exploiting his party's political authority in Punjab to intimidate political opponents, which is really disgraceful. In this hour of need, every Delhi citizen stands with Tajindar Pal Singh Bagga's family "Praveen Shankar Kapoor, a BJP spokesperson in Delhi, remarked.

Kapil Mishra, a BJP official, said: "Tajinder Bagga was detained and carried away from his home by 50 Punjab Police officers. He cannot be scared or weakened by such antics since he is a true chieftain. Why are true Sardars so feared?"
