Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, a series of allegations and counter-allegations have started between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the proposed panchayat elections next year. The BJP leader asked SP National President and former UP, CM Akhilesh Yadav, the question as to 'what was the reason for appointing an administrator on the panchayats during his tenure?'
In this case, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Vice President of BJP State Unit, Member of Legislative Council and State In-Charge of Panchayat Election, questioned former CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, 'Why were the administrators appointed on Panchayats in your time, why did you consider yourself as incompetent if remembered, make it public. In fact, Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday questioned the dissolution of gram panchayats.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav tweeted from his official Twitter handle, writing that, 'The BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has dissolved' gram panchayats' without conducting fresh elections. Major elections are being held, but for the elections of the smallest unit of public representation in a democracy, the government is calling itself incompetent, what will such a government-run Uttar Pradesh. BJP should not hurt the foundation of democracy.
