New Delhi: BJP and Akali Dal MLAs have staged a protest outside CM Arvind Kejriwal's office in Delhi. In fact, the BJP wanted to bring a congratulatory motion on the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, but it was not allowed. BJP leader Vijender Gupta said, "We wanted to bring a congratulatory motion on the removal of Section 370, but it was not allowed."

Vijender Gupta further said that I was suspended for the entire session on seeking its permission and MS Sirsa was expelled from the House. It is worth mentioning here that the Narendra Modi government recently removed Section 370 of the Constitution granting special statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. With this, Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two new Union Territories in the form of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

On the other hand, opposition parties, including those who have taken the decision through the Modi government, have also been seen to support it. Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Arvind Kejriwal had also supported the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Though it was opposed by the congress veterans, it was supported by Jyotiraditya Scindia of the Congress.
