Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Monday claimed that a group of 16 BJP MLAs in Jharkhand are ready to support the state government by forming a separate faction. Here, the BJP has termed the sensational claim as ridiculous and a blatant lie and said that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha itself is on the verge of extinction.
JMM central spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said at a press conference at the party's central office on Monday that 16 MLAs of the BJP are plagued by the state BJP leadership and the self-styled leader of the legislature party. They want to go with the JMM-led government. In such a situation, JMM is also ready to welcome MLAs angry with the BJP leadership. When asked about the displeasure of many JMM MLAs with the government, Bhattacharya said, "Our party is fully intact. In the presidential election, all the 30 MLAs of the party have together given proof of this by casting their votes as per the party's decision.''
The BJP immediately hit back at the JMM spokesperson's claim. The party's state spokesperson Pratul Nath Shahdeo said that the foundation of the JMM government is based on lies. Party MLAs Lobin Hembram and Sita Soren have levelled several allegations of corruption against their own government. The BJP leader said the Hemant government has no answer to his allegations. This party is about to end itself now. They have no need to worry about BJP MLAs.
