Bhopal: BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, who beat the Indore Municipal Corporation officer with a bat, has sent an apology to the party. Quoting sources, it is reported that in his apology, Akash has written that "will not do such act in the future."

The BJP had reportedly sought a response by sending a notice to Akash through an email secretly sent to him on the whole matter. It may be noted that BJP state organisation has remained silent on the whole issue. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed strong displeasure over the issue at a parliamentary party meeting. On June 26, a video of the beating of municipal officials in Indore went viral. Akash Vijayvargiya has also been jailed in this case.

Akash Vijayvargiya is currently on bail. Akash Vijayvargiya is the son of BJP National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya. In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya had beaten the municipal team with a cricket bat to demolish the dilapidated houses.
