HYDERABAD:  For his disrespectful statement against the Speaker, BJP legislator Eatala Rajender was expelled from the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, September 13.

After Minister for Legislative Affairs Vemula Prashanth Reddy presented a resolution and it was approved by voice vote, Speaker P. Srinivas Reddy declared Rajender's suspension.

Vinay Bhaskar of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) brought up the matter as soon as the house convened for the day and requested an apology from Rajender.

When the Speaker called on Rajender to speak, Prashant Reddy stepped in to suggest that since Rajender had made the unacceptable statement in public and then defended it, he should apologise instead of providing a clarification.
The minister added that Rajender constantly sought to get expelled from the House and stir up trouble outside. He recalled that Rajender had been suspended from the House during the previous session as a result of his actions there over the Governor's address.

Rajender won't be taking part in the debate, said Prashant Reddy. "We want you to take a seat in the House and take part in every discussion. We kindly propose that you apologise to the Speaker and take part in the discussion "said he.
Rajender was advised by the Speaker to react to the tenor of the House. He added that upholding the House's honour is a duty shared by all of its members.
