Jaipur: Following the resignation of Congress MLAs in Karnataka and Goa, BJP MLA Vasudev Devani has pointed to the upsurge of Congress MLAs in Rajasthan. In his statement to the Congress, Vasudev Devani said that "in Rajasthan also the Congress MLAs will be picking up. Congress leaders in Rajasthan are finding themselves unsafe after Rahul Gandhi resigned as president.

BJP MLA Vasudev Devani has said that there is a panic among the Congress MLAs in Karnataka and Goa and this will not lead to the BJP's Congressanisation but it is going to lead to BJP's disconnection. It may be mentioned that even before the Congress government was formed in Rajasthan, the entire party was divided into two factions. However, after winning the election, the high command made all efforts to reduce the distance of the two parties.

But after all the efforts, it did not appear that factionalism in the party had ended. One group belonged to CM Ashok Gehlot and the other was Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. In fact, with the Congress' victory in Rajasthan, it was believed that Sachin Pilot would become the CM. However, Ashok Gehlot was also a strong contender as he was the CM earlier.
