Patna: In Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Hari Bhushan Thakur made a controversial statement regarding Muslims. He has demanded from the government that the government should take away the right to vote from the Muslims. The MLA said, 'In 1947, the country was partitioned in the name of religion. Then the Muslims had got their country and they should have gone there. The MLA said, some Muslims did not go after partition. In such a situation, I demand from the government that their voting rights should be withdrawn. Muslims can live in India as second level citizens.

Actually, Hari Bhushan Thakur said this while attacking the statement of AIMIM MLA Akhtarul Iman. Iman had demanded that the Muslim population in the country should be given rights on the basis of their population. On this, the MLA said, Muslims are running the agenda of ISI in the country. They have an agenda to make India an Islamic country. Along with this, Hari Bhushan Thakur also denied that Muslims were a minority in the country. The MLA said, there is no word like minority in the Constitution. We the people of India have been mentioned in the constitution.

The same Akhtarul Iman had said that the session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly is starting from February 25 and at that time no MLA of his party will sing Vande Mataram. In fact, according to tradition, the session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly begins with the national anthem Jana Gana Mana and ends with Vande Mataram.
