BJP MP Rajkumar Chahar from Fatehpur Sikri surrendered in MP MLA Court here on Thursday. The court's stand against him in the 27-year-old case was very strict.

A case was registered against Rajkumar Chahar at GRP Cantt Police Station on January 2, 1993. The secretary of the then Union Minister Late Madhav Rao Scindia wrote against him. The BJP workers threw stones at the train where Scindia was going to sit. In this case, MPs appeared in court today on the basis of the warrant. He will be heard on bail. Fatehpur Sikri MP Rajkumar Chahar along with BJP leaders Mukesh Gupta and Trilokinath Agarwal reached the civil court. He has submitted bail application in the court in 1992 Scindia case. During this time, he was accompanied by MLA Purushottam Khandelwal.

Earlier, the court had issued a directive to arrest and present BJP MP Rajkumar Chahar within ten days. The case is dated 3 January 1993. At that time, BJP workers protested and sabotaged the Shatabdi Express at Agra Cantt railway station to protest against the alleged derogatory remarks made by Congress leaders against senior BJP leaders. The then Union Minister Madhav Rao Scindia was also on the train. A case was filed against 93 people in this case. The GRP had registered a case against 93 people in this case in addition to the Railway Act, in the sections of murderous assault, Balwa, and Todofod. Later a charge sheet was filed in the court. Many other BJP leaders are also accused in this case including MLA Yogendra Upadhyay. They all have appeared in court and got bail.
