BJP MP Gautam Gambhir, says, "Delhi will get better government with BJP coming to power..."

Delhi: BJP MP Gautam Gambhir said that after the formation of our government, clean air will be available for the whole of Delhi. We will form a government in which everyone can get basic facilities. He said that we will try to make Delhi a better place to live in, where we can get better air quality and cleaner water and also create better infrastructure for the people of Delhi. Delhi will get a better government as soon as BJP wins elections.

After announcing the Delhi Assembly elections, Kejriwal tweeted, "Will contest elections on this issue"

For the first time in 1993 assembly elections were held in Delhi. In the first election in Delhi, the BJP was successful in feeding the lotus. The BJP was successful in winning 49 seats out of the total 70 assembly seats in Delhi with 47.82% votes. Congress got 14 seats with 34.48% votes. Sehra was tied on the head of Madanlal Khurana to give the BJP a landslide victory. Madanlal Khurana became the CM of Delhi, but on 26 February 1996, he had to step down from his post and the party handed over the reins of power to Saheb Singh Verma in his place.

However, Saheb Singh Verma was also removed by the BJP just before the election and on October 12, 1998, Sushma Swaraj was made the Chief Minister. Congress came to power in 1998. After Union Minister and in-charge of Delhi BJP Prakash Javadekar announced the dates of the Delhi Assembly elections, he expressed confidence that the BJP government will be formed in Delhi.
