Ahmedabad: MP Mansukh Vasava, who has resigned from Bharatiya Janata Party from Bharuch in Gujarat, has been persuaded. After meeting CM Vijay Rupani, Mansukh Vasava has decided to withdraw his resignation. The talks between the two leaders lasted for about 45 minutes, after which Mansukh Vasava has withdrawn his decision to leave the BJP.
It is noteworthy that Mansukh Vasava resigned from the party citing illness as the reason. Vasava took this decision at a time when for the last one month he was writing a letter about the eco-sensitive zone and the buying and selling of tribal girls. On the other hand, it was also believed that Mansukh Vasava had decided to resign due to anger with an IAS officer. Mansukh Vasava is a strong leader of Gujarat BJP. He has been an MP 6 times. The political career of 63-year-old Mansukh Vasava has been very long.
In 1994, Vasava first became MLA by winning the Gujarat Assembly elections. He then won the election from Bharuch parliamentary seat in 1998. This election was very important for him because after this his luck shone and he went on to win elections one by one from Bharuch. The effect of this was that when he won the elections in 2014, he was given a ministerial position in the Modi government at the centre. However, he could not make it to the Modi cabinet in 2019.
