Hyderabad: Giving Hint that it is open to make longer post-poll support to TRS leader K Chandrashekar Rao in Telangana, the saffron BJP on Sunday asked the caretaker CM to waterway Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM first.
Telangana BJP head K Laxman stated no government can be formed in Telangana without the saffron party’s support and now the TRS has to make its stand clear.
If the TRS associates with Majlis (AIMIM), there is no query of the BJP extending support to it. BJP will support non-Congress, non-Majlis party and the final decision will be taken by national president Amit Shah and Narendra Modi, but no party will get obvious majority in Telangana.
The offer is expected to strengthen Congress and TDP’s claim of the TRS being a ‘B-team’ of the BJP and the saffron party had also made a parallel charge against KCR, accusing him of conspiring with the ‘Mahakutami’ or grand coalition of the Congress and TDP.
Owaisi had earlier stated that his party would win the seats that fall in Hyderabad, while the government would be formed by KCR another time. He, however, stated his party would not join the government.
