JP Nadda launches 'Sonar Bangla' campaign in Bengal

Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a "Sonar Bangla" campaign in the state for the West Bengal assembly elections. BJP national president JP Nadda launched this campaign. During this, Bengal BJP unit president Dilip Ghosh and National General Secretary of the party Kailash Vijayvargiya were also present. The party will take suggestions from two crore people before issuing manifestos for the assembly elections under this campaign.

Under this campaign, the party will take its campaign up to 2 crore people and will ask for suggestions on the manifesto. About 30,000 suggestion boxes will be placed for this. Out of 294 assembly seats in the state, about 100 boxes will be kept in each region. BJP workers will go door-to-door with 50 boxes, while 50 boxes will be kept at key places in cities. Inaugurating the campaign, Nadda said that this campaign will run from the party from March 3 to 20 across the state.

Nadda said that we are working to create 'Sonar Bangla' with contributions from Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar in the iconic history of West Bengal. We will implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state. Nadda said that the farmers of Bengal are not getting the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. He said that PM Modi has said that this scheme will be implemented in Bengal and old installments will also be available to the farmers here. This will benefit 73 lakh farmers of the state.
