Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda has welcomed the new domicile rules formulated for Jammu and Kashmir. He has said that through these rules, children of Kashmiri Pandits living outside Kashmir will be able to get Domicile Certificate of the valley and they will be able to get their rights in Jammu and Kashmir.

On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir have issued a notification for the process for issuing domicile certificate. It is to be noted that in the Union Territory, having Domicile Certificate is the first condition for appointment to any post. Jammu and Kashmir administration spokesman Rohit Kansal said on Monday that according to the rules, domicile certificates will be issued in a transparent manner so that no person has a problem. As per the new provisions, 15 days time has been fixed for issuing the certificate.

Reacting to this incident related to Jammu and Kashmir, BJP President JP Nadda said that the new Domicile Rules issued in Jammu and Kashmir is a welcome step. This will fulfil the demands of all the refuges including the people of West Pakistan for many years. With this, the demands of scheduled caste (SC) workers settled in Jammu and Kashmir from other parts of India for decades will be fulfilled. Now the children of Kashmiri Pandits living outside Kashmir will also be able to get their rights.
