BJP pulls out of an alliance with PDP in Jammu & Kashmir

 Today in a major  step BJP pulled out of an alliance with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir, as ANI reported.

Earlier BJP president Amit Shah  commenced a party meeting with state unit leaders at the party headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday. In today’s party meeting the BJP chief  discussed the current political and security situation in the state, especially after the Centre revoked the month-long suspension of a ceasefire in the state.

"We have taken a decision, it is untenable for BJP to continue in alliance with PDP in Jammu & Kashmir, hence we are withdrawing",  Ram Madhav, BJP addressed in press conference.

Terrorism, violence and radicalisation have risen and fundamental rights of the citizens are under danger in the Valley. Shujaat Bukhari's killing is an example", He added.

BJP state chief Ravinder Raina and general secretary Asho  Kaul were also be present in the party meeting. 

According to sources Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP is reportedly unhappy with the Centre's decision to revoke the month-long suspension of the ceasefire which was in force during the holy month of Ramzan. The decision was taken in the wake of the sensational killing of 'The Rising Kashmir' editor Shujaat Bukhari and Army rifleman Aurangzeb by Pakistan-backed terrorists. 

Amit Shah is going to visit Jammu for two-day beginning June 23.The party wants best results and better delivery on the ground. It wants to win the people’s confidence and doesn’t want to take any chance before the 2019 parliamentary elections, party sources informed. 

According to sources The working and performance of the ministers are  reviewed by the national BJP president.
