New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its first list of candidates for legislative council elections in Bihar and Karnataka. The list has been released on behalf of Arun Singh, chief in-charge of the BJP's national office and national general secretary. In Bihar, a ticket has been given to N.K. Yadav from Kosi Graduate Legislature Council, Nawal Kishore Yadav from Patna Teachers Legislative Council, Suresh Rai from Darbhanga Teachers Legislative Council, Narendra Singh from The Thirteenth Teachers Legislative Council, ChandramaSingh from Saran Teachers Legislative Council.
In Karnataka, Chidanand M Gowda from West Graduate, SV Sankanuru from West Graduate, Shashil Ji Namoshi from North East Teacher, Puttana from Bangalore Teachers Legislative Council constituency have been fielded. The bihar legislative council will be voting on October 22. The Election Commission on Friday announced a programme for election of four teachers constituency seats and four graduate constituency seats in the state.
The notification for the election of these seats was issued on September 28. The last date for filing nominations is October 5. Scrutiny of nominations is October 6 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8. According to the Election Commission, voting for these seats will be held from 8 am to 5 pm on October 22. The results will be released after the counting of votes on November 12.
