After victory in Lok Sabha, Bhajapa-Shiv Sena now engaged in ' mission Maharashtra '

Mumbai: After a landslide victory in Lok Sabha election, BJP-Shiv Sena are in a strategy-making exercise for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra. Sources say that the Shiv Sena-BJP leaders have met in this context. Like the Lok Sabha elections, the Assembly elections were better aligned. There is an ongoing exercise to bring them to a stage among activists who have been outraged at the local level. This meeting, however, is being described informally.

In the Lok Sabha elections, the two parties fought together and won a resounding victory. Of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state, the BJP had won 23 seats while the Shiv Sena won 18 seats, that is, overall, the two parties won 41 seats. Talking about the vote percentage, the BJP received a total of 27.6 per cent of the votes, while Shiv Sena got 23.3 per cent votes.

The Congress and the AIMIM and independent nominees won one seat, while the Nationalist Congress (NCP) won four seats. Talking about the 2014 assembly elections, the BJP had won 122 seats in Maharashtra while Shiv Sena had to satisfy only 63 seats.
