New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party launched a fierce attack on the Gupkar alliance and said that the only agenda of the Gupkar alliance is to bring back Article 370. Ahead of the DDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra says that the Congress must stay clear with its stand over Article 370.

Patra added "This Gupkar Alliance wants exactly what Pakistan and anti-India countries. Pakistan has been to every forum and appealed against the removal of Article 370. The Gupkar Alliance says the same thing.” He also challenged the political party Congress to clarify its stand on Article 370. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also fires a statement, ‘people who have been Chief Ministers are saying that they'll take help of China for the restoration of Article 370'. Prasad later says, "It is an anti-national activity...Sonia Gandhi ji and Rahul Gandhi ji should clearly state their position on restoration of Article 370.”

BJP's criticizes the Gupkar alliance after its leader Farooq Abdullah, said that he will fight for the restoration of the 'rights of people of J&K'. Last week Farooq said, “I am here to do something for my people and until the rights of the people of J&K and Ladakh are restored, I will not die.” Many, including Shiv Sena, slammed the National Conference leader saying he could go to Pakistan and implement Article 370 there.
