New Delhi: BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has targeted Congress-working president Sonia Gandhi and Teesta Setalvad over the Teesta Setalvad case. Patra has said that after the Gujarat riots, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had given 30 lakh rupees to Teesta. The BJP spokesperson said that wine in shoes, resort. This is the reality of Teesta Setalvad. In fact, Teesta Setalvad's bail plea has made surprising revelations in the affidavit of the Special Investigation Team (SIT). The SIT's affidavit said that at the behest of Congress MP Ahmed Patel, Teesta was given Rs 30 lakh after the Godhra incident. On the same issue, Sambit Patra held a press conference today and took a dig at Congress.

Making the SIT's affidavit the basis, Sambit Patra said that the affidavit has revealed the fact that who were the people behind these conspiracies. Sambit Patra further said that at the behest of Ahmed Patel, Teesta Setalvad and others hatched a conspiracy to destabilise the then Gujarat government. He said Ahmed Patel is just a name, in fact, his driving force was his boss Sonia Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi tried to malign the image of Gujarat through her chief political advisor Ahmed Patel. They tried to insult the then CM Narendra Modi and she (Sonia) was the mastermind of this whole conspiracy.

Sambit Patra further said that the Supreme Court had said on this that some people were trying to keep the subject alive under a conspiracy and were presenting wrong facts and now the law should also crack down on these people. The way Congress tried to humiliate Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots in 2002 as part of a conspiracy, the reality of it is coming out layer by layer.
