Patna: Nitish Kumar and his party JDU have suffered a major setback in Manipur after severing ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bihar. Let us tell you that five JDU MLAs joined the BJP on Friday. Amidst all this, the BJP has mocked the speculation of Nitish Kumar becoming the opposition's PM candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In fact, Amit Malviya described him as a 'lame chief minister' and said, 'Nitish Kumar is seeing his party weakening in Bihar as well as in other states, but he dreams of becoming the prime minister.'

You all know that Nitish Kumar broke his alliance with NDA in Bihar and formed the government of Mahagathbandhan. Yes and he formed an alliance with RJD and Congress in Bihar. At the same time, since then he is being projected by the leaders of his party as the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, although he has so far ruled out any such possibilities. Let us also tell you that Joykishan, N Sanate, Mohd. Achab Uddin, former DGP LM Khoute and Thangjam Arunkumar joined BJP in Manipur amid the ongoing speech war between BJP-JDU. On the other hand, Khote and Arunkumar had earlier demanded to contest the assembly elections on a BJP ticket, but they did not get the ticket.

At the same time, he joined JDU. Let us tell you that Nitish Kumar, who returned to the Grand Alliance government as chief minister, has been avoiding speculation about his national ambition. However, Bihar JD(U) leaders are not ruling out the possibilities at all. Now today i.e. on Saturday and Sunday, a poster was put up outside the party headquarters in Patna before the party's two-day national convention. At the same time, it is written on the poster, 'Show in the state, will be seen in the country.'
