According to sources, the government can set up a committee in this regard, this committee will explore the possibilities of a uniform civil code. For this, various aspects will be evaluated. A retired high court judge will head the committee.
The Gujarat Home Minister said the possibility of a uniform civil code is being explored. There is a plan to set up a committee for this. According to the information, he is also going to hold a press conference at 3 pm in this case. It is being told that in the cabinet meeting today, a proposal will be presented to constitute a committee under the leadership of a retired high court judge on the lines of Uttarakhand. At 3 pm, the Gujarat Home Minister will give detailed information in this regard.
According to sources in the Gujarat government, the dates of the elections can be announced on November 1 or 2. As soon as the dates are announced, the code of conduct will also come into force in Gujarat. Before this, the big bet of a uniform civil code can be very important.
