Patna: The Election Commission has no objection to the BJP's promise of free corona vaccine in Bihar elections and has given them a clean chit. The Election Commission says that 'this promise is not a violation of the Election Code of Conduct'. In this case, RTI activist Saket Gokhale had complained to the Election Commission. The BJP has promised to get Corona free vaccine in Bihar in its resolution (manifesto) for Bihar Assembly Elections 2020.

After this promise, there was a hot atmosphere in Bihar. Opposition parties had even accused the BJP of violating the election code of conduct. After this allegation, BJP leaders were constantly saying that there has not been any violation of the code of conduct by the party's promise. Now the Election Commission has also made it clear that there is no violation of the code of conduct. Talking about the complainant, RTI activist Saket Gokhale had complained about this to the Election Commission. He had said, "The declaration of free vaccine is an attempt to misuse the powers of the Central Government and mislead the voters." This promise has been made at a time when the vaccine policy has not been decided.

The Election Commission has said that BJP's promise of free corona vaccine is not considered a violation of the code of conduct. The BJP has made 11 resolutions in its vision document for Bihar and the first is that the Corona vaccine will be given free vaccination if it comes to power.
