New Delhi: Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging him to stop the "catastrophe" in the capital due to the anti-encroachment drive by the three BJP-ruled municipal corporations. Sisodia said that BJP is planning to demolish 63 lakh houses in unauthorized colonies, slums of Delhi.

He said that out of these, 60 lakh houses are in unauthorized colonies, while the remaining three lakh are where people have extended or covered their balconies. We have come to know that notices have been issued to them. Manish Sisodia further said that this will cause huge destruction in the capital. About 70 percent of Delhi's population will become homeless. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) strongly opposes this 'bulldozer politics'.

He further said that I assure the people of Delhi that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government stands with you, we are even ready to go to jail to stop the BJP's campaign of sabotage. I request the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to stop the sabotage campaign of BJP in Delhi which is being run to extort from the people.
