BJP to hold events across India in honor of soldiers: JP Nadda

The BJP will organize a function at different places to honor the jawans of the country. National President J P Nadda has asked the state unit chief, state general secretary, and state in-charge on Tuesday to organize the program from March 23 to April 3 in all states and cities across India. BJP general secretary Arun Singh has said that all state presidents and general secretaries have been asked to organize programs across India to showcase Prime Minister Modi's vision of a new India.

Earlier, the army organized 'Yom-e-Rasool Mir' in memory of famous 19th-century poet Rasul Mir after more than three decades on Wednesday at Doru-Shahabad in Anantnag city of South Kashmir. An army officer said that this will help the youth to connect with their roots, culture, and Kashmiriyat and to raise their heads and move forward. 19 Rashtriya Rifles organized the ceremony with the help of the civil administration. Due to this, famous singers, dancers, and theatrical artists performed. Also outlined the works of Rasul Mir popularly known as 'John Keats of Kashmir'.

Along with this, Major General Rashim Bali, General Officer Commanding, Victor Force, attended the ceremony. Major General Bali expressed happiness at the gathering of many people at the ceremony. He said, "Rasul Mir was a great poet of Kashmir and is considered as 'Imam-e-Ishqian Shayari'. On this day, ceremonies were held here (Duru), but that practice stopped because of the spread of terrorism. "
