NEW DELHI:  In a crucial move, a group of five women MPs from BJP, tasked with investigating the incidents of violence and alleged atrocities against women during the recently-concluded Panchayat Polls in West Bengal, has submitted their comprehensive report to the party's national president, J. P. Nadda.

Nadda took to Twitter to announce the receipt of the report by the BJP Fact-Finding Team, emphasizing that it was formed specifically to inquire about the violence and mistreatment faced by women during the Panchayat Election in West Bengal. Alongside his tweet, he shared a video that showcased the panel's convener, MP Saroj Pandey, and other members handing over the report to him.

In scathing criticism of the Mamata Banerjee-led state government, the BJP chief highlighted, "This report lays bare the rampant lawlessness prevailing in West Bengal and the government's indifference towards political opponents."

Nadda asserted that the BJP would never condone the "oppression" of its people.

The panel, established on July 17, has now formally presented its report to the party president after conducting an in-depth investigation during their visit to West Bengal.
