Lucknow: Dates for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections have been announced and voting for the first phase will be held in the state on February 10. 58 seats in western UP will go to the polls in the first phase of elections in the state. So the BJP's general meeting has begun in Delhi today and CM Yogi Adityanath has reached the capital to attend it.

Senior leaders of the state are participating in today's meeting along with CM Yogi. It is being reported that the names of the candidates may be agreed upon in today's meeting. According to media reports, the BJP is likely to announce the names of its candidates on January 13. A big BJP meeting was held in Lucknow yesterday. After which it is being reported that the party will cut the cards of poorly performing MLAs. A big meeting on elections is also going to be held in Delhi today.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party chief JP Nadda, CM Yogi Adityanath along with National Organisation General Secretary BL Santosh, election in-charge Dharmendra and union general secretary Sunil Bansal will be present at the meeting. Though party president JP Nadda and the state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh have been found corona positive, both the leaders will attend the meeting through video conferencing.
