Bhopal: Bharatiya Janata Party is known for its surprise decisions. The same has been seen in the Rajya Sabha elections, BJP has fielded two women leaders from Madhya Pradesh. BJP has fielded Kavita Patidar from OBC category and Sumitra Valmik from Scheduled Caste. Both the candidates submitted their nominations. Before this, both of them reached the state BJP office and expressed their gratitude to the party. Due to this, Chief Minister Shivraj and BJP State President VD Sharma praised this decision of the party.

On the selection of Kavita Patidar and Sumitra Valmik for the same Rajya Sabha, Chief Minister Shivraj said that "Both the seats of both were given to women, thus 100 percent tickets were for women." The party gave opportunities to those who worked on the ground, Kavita continued to work for the organization. Sumitra Valmik is a three-time councilor. No one had imagined, but the party made it happen. Sumitra Valmik of the lowest level is being sent to Rajya Sabha. In the true sense it is the honor of Valmik Samaj. In the true sense, it is the honor of Dalits. Due to this, Rajya Sabha candidate Sumitra Valmik appeared emotional.

BJP state president VD Sharma said that "Both are the party's grassroot workers, they work for the party 365 days, if such decisions are taken, they are made in the BJP. One OBC face and other Dalit faces are being sent to Rajya Sabha. I called Sumitra Valmik and she said what to do. I said to fill the form tomorrow. BJP is women friendly. A good worker will get an opportunity.
