Mumbai: The Shiv Sena on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut asserted that the law and order situation in the state will not deteriorate only because a particular political party has made up its mind to do so. Sanjay Raut's gesture was towards MNS chief Raj Thackeray. In its mouthpiece Saamana, the Shiv Sena even called Raj Thackeray the BJP's concubine. Along with this, on Tuesday, the Maharashtra government's directive, the police also registered a complaint against Raj Thackeray on the basis of his statement about the loudspeaker on May 1.

At his Maharashtra Day rally in Aurangabad on Sunday, MNS chief Raj Thackeray reiterated his call to remove loudspeakers from mosques by May 4. "We won't listen to it from May 4. If you keep creating a ruckus through loudspeakers, we will also broadcast Hanuman Chalisa in double the voice in front of mosques.''

An editorial in Sena mouthpiece Saamana said in the same reply, "The BJP's 'booster dose' rally in Mumbai on May 1 was built to target the Shiv Sena, while the BJP's concubine MNS targeted Sharad Pawar at his rally in Aurangabad. In further detail on the comment on MNS, Raut has clarified on the word concubine here, he said, "Concubine means to use people. Some smaller parties are being used to counter the Maha Vikas Aghadi in politics. "The government should find out the political party that has 'contracted' with the 'Hindu Owaisi' to disturb peace and harmony in the state. The government stands strong. Those who are threatening do not have the ability to disturb law and order. The force behind them is restless as they could not come to government in Maharashtra.''
