Lucknow: The first round of coming and going has begun in the country's largest state, the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. As the state leaders continued to change their parties, the BJP and the Samajwadi Party started playing a game of defeat. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has recently included BJP MLA from Sitapur Rakesh Rathore in his camp and now BJP has retained two-time Samajwadi Party MLA Subhash Pasi.

Two-time Samajwadi Party MLA Subhash Pasi will join BJP from Saidpur assembly seat in Ghazipur on Tuesday afternoon. BJP in-charge Radha Mohan Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and party state president Swatanter Dev Singh will join the BJP in the presence of Subhash Pasi. Earlier, Subhash Pasi had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow.

The Samajwadi Party has expelled Subhash Pasi from the party amid discussions about joining the BJP. Subhash has been accused by the Samajwadi Party of indulging in anti-party activities. Just a few days ago, the Samajwadi Party appointed Subhash Pasi's wife Reena Pasi as the National Secretary of the Samajwadi Party Mahila Sabha. Subhash Pasi is originally from Malviya Nagar in Saidpur, a Nagar panchayat in Ghazipur.
