Moga : Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ekta) on Thursday has introduced that, “they will hold protests across state.”
BKU (E) General Secretary Sukhdev Singh said. “ farmers in the state would hold agitation for five days from May 24.”
Singh added, “due to none waving of crop loans the peasants in the state are committing suicide.”
According to the data recorded, this year approx. 56 farm labourers committed suicide in Punjab due to agrarian reasons.
He questioned the state government to directly make payments to farmers for the wheat bought by government agencies.
The General Secretary also smashed out at the Badal government for its unproven anti-farmer policies.
