The branding of BLACKPINK The rumors that Jennie Kim had been offered a role in a Marvel film were eventually addressed by YG Entertainment. She will reportedly make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut after taking a break from acting to appear in the HBO Original series The Idol. Although it seems like such a choice would be made, her agency denied the rumors.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding significantly since it provides opportunities for performers and directors from all around the world, not just the greatest Hollywood stars. Simu Liu, Chloé Zhao, Ryan Coogler, and the late Chadwick Boseman pushed the limits of the universe, and now, according to the source, the studio wants to be more inclusive. As a result, there are already discussions about the MCU's first South Asian Superhero team. If that weren't thrilling enough, the company also plans to cast another Asian star, and Jennie Kim of BLACKPINK is the person they are considering.

Since introducing Shang-Chi in the well-received stand-alone film, the MCU has made a concerted effort to enlist additional South Asian Superheroes. Another example of this was Ms. Marvel, which starred Iman Vellami and had a special cameo by Farhan Akhtar.

According to a  story, Jennie will portray Luna Snow, a K-pop diva with superhuman abilities. The character was very recently brought to comics following the games. It was developed for the smartphone game Marvel Future Fight by Danny Koo of Marvel Games, Bill Rosemann, Min Kyun Kim of Netmarble, and JeeHyung Lee.

In the 2019 War of the Realms New Agents of Atlas #1 comic book by Greg Pak and Gang Hyuk Lim, Luna Snow made her debut. Jennie, who is purportedly BLACKPINK's Jennie, was a member of the K-pop group 4L1T before acquiring ice-based abilities. Even while all of this is already incredibly intriguing, it was also disclosed in the rumor that she will be a member of the first Asian superhero squad in the MCU. Time will reveal if this is the Age of Atlas or something else new.
