Patna: In Bihar, two persons died and another was seriously injured in a fight over a drain between neighbours in the Adapur police station area of East Champaran district. A police official said on Friday that the family of Jaynarayan Prasad and Sudeep Prasad, a resident of the Shyampur area, had a fight over the drain at around 11 pm on Thursday. The quarrel again turned into a scuffle and assault.

Thereafter, there was a lot of stabbing on both sides in which two persons died of stab injuries. Adapur police station in-charge Sandeep Kumar said Jaynarayan Prasad's son Rishi Raj and Sudeep Prasad's son Pradeep Kumar were among the dead. He said Pradeep's brother Chandan Kumar has also been stabbed and seriously injured. He has been admitted to a local hospital in an injured condition. His condition remains critical.

At the same time, the police station in charge said that one criminal each from both sides has been arrested in the case and police are investigating the entire case. He said raids are being conducted to nab the other culprits. The two families are said to be neighbours who have been arguing outside the house for a long time over washing cars and falling water.
