Mumbai: Cyclone Tauktae has raised people's concerns. In fact, recently, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of a storm in Mumbai besides the coastal areas of the country. In view of this, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken precautionary measures. In fact, the BMC shifted 580 patients from the city from Covid-19 care centres. According to the information received, a BMC official has said this.

The official says ''the civic body transferred 580 patients from covid care centres to hospitals run by the state government and municipal body of Mumbai on Saturday (May 14) night." Under the information received, out of 580 patients, 243 BKC, 183 Dahisar and 154 patients have been transferred from Mulund. BMC had alerted city hospitals last Friday not to create any last minute chaos over the availability of beds and oxygen equipment. An official said that the suburban train service in Mumbai will continue on Sunday (May 16).

You must be aware that the IMD has announced that Cyclone Tauktae may pass through the city today. In view of this, IMD had said last Saturday that 'Tauktae' has become stronger and is moving towards gujarat coast and Union Territory of Daman-Diu and Dadra-Nagar Haveli coast. The storm is likely to turn into a "very severe cyclonic storm" by late Saturday night. It is likely to move north-northwestwards and cross the Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Nalia around the afternoon of May 18. It was also said that the storm is likely to pass some distance from Mumbai late on Saturday night or early Sunday.
