BMW Group's sales report disappointed, the company's sales fell sharply

The BMW Group has announced globally that it has sold a total of 962,575 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles in the first half of the year 2020. The company registered a decline of 23 percent this year as compared to the same period last year.

From the first 6 months January to June 2020, 842,153 BMW vehicles have been delivered, which is 21.7 percent less than the previous year. Also, the MINI brand sold 118,862 units in the first half of the year, with a 31.1 percent decline. Talking about the sale of Rolls-Royce motor cars, in the first six months, the company has sold 1,560 vehicles, a decline of 37.6 percent. We have already told you about the sales of BMW Motorrad, in which the company has sold 76,707 motorcycles during the period January to June 2020, down 17.7 percent.

There is one segment that pleases the BMW Group and that is electric cars. The group sold a total of 61,652 electric BMW cars and MINI vehicles in the first quarter of this year, up by 3.4 percent compared to the same period last year. BMW Group already sells plug-in hybrid models worldwide Is doing and in the coming few days the company is also going to launch a production avatar of iX3. We can also see the fully-electric BMW i4 and BMW iNEXT next year. The BMW Group claims that it will roll out 25 electrified samples by the year 2023 of which more than half are fully electric cars.
