The luxury and performance automobile industry in India is vibrating with electric energy, and the all-electric MINI is the next big launch slated. BMW announced on Friday that pre-launch bookings for the all-electric MINI 3-door Cooper SE are now open for a one-lakh deposit. Those interested in driving the battery-powered MINI 3-door Cooper SE home may do so by visiting the MINI India website and placing a reservation. And there may be compelling reasons to click away from the screen and finish the purchase.

MINI vehicles are recognised for having energetic driving characteristics, and the MINI Cooper SE, with its 32.6 kWh battery, wants to improve on that reputation. The EV promises to reach 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds and has a maximum power output of 184 horsepower and torque of 270 Nm. The business also says that the EV would have a range of 270 kilometres per charge.

BMW believes the electric MINI is a viable solution for individuals seeking zero-emission urban travel. "With the first-ever MINI Electric, MINI has reclaimed its position as the market leader in urban mobility," stated Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India. "Through pre-booking, our customers and MINI enthusiasts will have the opportunity to reserve a vehicle ahead of the launch and be among the first in the country to drive the all-electric MINI."

Currently, the MINI model range in India includes the MINI 3-door Hatch, MINI John Cooper Works Hatch, MINI Convertible and the locally produced MINI Countryman.
