Lucknow: A major accident has been reported in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi on Monday. Here, six people drowned due to the boat capsizing in the Middle Ganga. Two of them were somehow saved. The bodies of three persons have been recovered with the help of NDRF. There, another one is being sought. The sailor was also killed in the accident that took place right in front of Prabhu Ghat.  

It is said that there were six people on board, including the sailor. Keshav, a resident of Tundla in Firozabad, who was in the boat, said there was a hole in the boat, which led to the accident. 5 friends had come from Tundla in Firozabad to visit Varanasi. All the sailors had boarded Shani's boat. Suddenly the boat began to waver and overturned. People on the nearby boats rescued two people safely. Some people tried to be saved by sailor Shani, but three people caught him at the same time. This drowned him along with others. After getting information about the accident, local police, divers of 11th battalion of NDRF and water police started searching for the missing persons. Within a short time, three bodies including the sailor Shani were recovered.

According to the police,  it is still coming to light that all the people on board the boat were drunk. Keshav and Pawan have been rescued. Keshav said that he is the operator of the pantry car in the Marudhar Express train. The bodies of Anas (20) and Imamuddin (30) of Tundla, including sailor Shani (55), have been recovered.
