Aurangabad: Tibet's spiritual leader Dalai Lama said on Saturday that the world needs the ancient Indian values of non-violence and compassion. The Dalai Lama was talking to the press after watching the three-day International Buddhist Synod in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra. The Dalai Lama further said, "We can see the struggle everywhere. Whenever I hear about such struggles, I feel terrible. At this time the world can live in peace if they follow the values of compassion and non-violence. Talking about ideological differences, the Dalai Lama said, 'These are philosophical differences, but tolerance is needed to live peacefully. If the community is happy then the person will also be happy.

The Buddhist teacher Dalai Lama has said, 'I always call myself the son of India. Chinese press people keep questioning me about this.
