Mumbai: In the isolation ward of a hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, the bodies of two patients lay lying down for several hours, no one came to take care of them. Sources said on Friday that there were other patients in the ward and one body had been lying in the ward for about 20 hours. According to sources, the hospital staff was afraid of touching the bodies in fear of becoming infected.

However, the hospital administration finally handed over both the bodies to their relatives around 4 pm on Thursday. The incident is of Dr. RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital. Sources have said that one of these bodies was in the hospital for about 20 hours and the other for about 10 hours, during which no action was taken for these bodies. The hospital administration claimed that the delay occurred because both the bodies belonged to the corona suspected patients and the hospital staff did not want to hand them over fear of infection.

Dr. Pinakin Gujjar, the dean of the hospital, said that the corona patients have to wrap the bodies properly, which a single person cannot do. He made it clear that there is no shortage of safety equipment or corpses in the hospital. Let us tell you that there have been 4,232 cases of corona infection so far in Mumbai. At the same time, 168 people have died in Mumbai due to this deadly virus.
