Actor Pran, who was once very popular, still remembered as a villain in Bollywood. He has been a strong villain and people still like his character. He was loved by the audience even after the negative role. He was born on 12 February (1920) in a Punjabi family and Pran's full name was Pran Krishan Sikand. He had seven siblings. Pran wanted to become a photographer but end up being an actor. He also worked with a company in Delhi and he used to play the role of Sita in Ramlila in the locality before becoming an actor in films.

He got his first break at Paan shop and after that, he started his acting career in the year 1940 with the Punjabi film Yamla Jat. Pran once said during an interview that, "He had kept the matter of becoming an actor hidden for a long time from his father, but he came to know this after his first interview in the newspaper. His father was very happy after reading the interview". Pran was a Bollywood villain who used to charge more than the lead actor in the film. At that time people used to get scared of him after seeing his acting. It was Pran who gave villains a special place in Indian cinema.

He signed Raj Kapoor's film 'Bobby' for just one rupee. Pran did not take his fees due to the financial constraints of Raj Kapoor during that time and Pran made his film a hit. However, the more dangerous Pran looked on screen, the more soft-hearted he was in real life. Pran made Amitabh Bachchan the angry young man of the industry and he was the one who talked about taking Amitabh in the film Zanjeer. Pran died on 12 July 2013 in Mumbai.
