The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched its ambitious mission Chandrayaan-2 from the launch pad at Sriharikota this afternoon. Chandrayaan-2 will successfully land on the moon's surface after a total of 52 days of travel.

It was supposed to be launched on July 15, though the launch date was postponed due to technical reasons. Chandrayaan 2 follow-up is Chandrayaan 1 which confirmed hydroxyl's presence on the moon in 2009. Bollywood stars have also given congratulatory messages on the country's success.
Before the launch of the mission launch, 'Mission Mars' film's act,' Tapsi Panu has shared its extract on Twitter and he wrote, "And we are waiting." Celebrities like Raveena Tandon, Nimrat Kaur, Madhur Bhandarkar have also been felicitated.
