The country has been rejoicing BJP's victory at the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. This year, several celebrities from Bollywood contested this election too. While the results are out, here's looking at how the B-Town celebrities fared.

Winning yet again by a huge lead of nearly three lakh votes, Hema Malini beat her rival, Kunwar Narendra Singh in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

Sharing her joy on Twitter, the Dream Girl wrote, "I thank all the wonderful Mathuravasis who have re-elected me as their MP. They have showered their love on me & appreciated my work as their rep for these past 5 yrs. I pray for your contd support. To all the govt officials & police personnel who always support me - a spl Thank u"

It wasn't until April that Sunny joined hands with BJP in the presence of Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal. Contesting from Gurdaspur, Punjab, congratulations are in order for the actor-turned-politician who won by 82,459 votes.

Contesting from Chandigarh, Kirron is all set to essay the role of an MP for her second consecutive term after defeating Pawan Kumar Bansal by a margin of 40,000 votes.

After staying away from the limelight, the Rangeela actress joined Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi earlier this year. But Urmila lost out by 4.5 lakh votes to BJP candidate Gopal Shetty. Urmila went on to share a video on Instagram where she spoke about not emerging victorious.

She wrote, "Gratitude… is all I have for all of you who stood by me and voted for me. In my defeat also I stand winner because of all of you."
