The superstar and wife of producer Boney Kapoor passed away on a late night of Saturday, 24.02.218 reportedly due to cardiac arrest (Silent heart attack) in Dubai. She had gone to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding.

Sridevi, who entered into the entertainment industry at an age of four, is known for her remarkable performances in ”Lamhe”, "Mr. India", "Nagina", "Sadma", "ChalBaaz", "Chandni", "Khuda Gawah".

The whole entertainment industry, as well as her fans, still are feeling shocked waves.

“Sridevi will always remain alive in my memory. It feels awkward to speak of her in the past tense. We have lost the biggest star of our country. I still cannot believe it. It will take many years to register what has actually happened,” said Anupam Kher

“I value her for her sanskars as in spite of achieving the highest position of 'superstar' in Bollywood, she never compromised with the south Indian sanskars inculcated in her,” said Hema Malini

The Padma Shri addressee Sridevi made a comeback to Bollywood in 2012 with much acclaimed "English Vinglish" after a long break of 15 years. On the Silver Screen She was last seen in "Mom" in 2017.
