Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Thursday objected to BJP Lok Sabha MP Sujay Vikhe Patil allegedly buying remdesivir vaccines from New Delhi from Ahmednagar seat in Maharashtra. Last Thursday, the court said, "This anti-covid-19 drug should be distributed equally among the needy".

Further, the court expressed strong displeasure while hearing a petition seeking criminal action against Patil for illegally purchasing 10,000 vials of remdesivir vaccine from Delhi and distributing them in Ahmednagar. The Aurangabad bench of the High Court said, "Vikhe Patil's move may save the lives of poor and needy patients but the path he chose was wrong. ''

Meanwhile, a bench headed by Justice Ravindra Ghughe said, "It is ultimately considered unfair to follow a wrong path. We just want to know how Vikhe Patil bought vials of unauthorized and secretly remdesivir vaccine?" Let us also tell you that last Thursday, the Maharashtra government has decided to extend restrictions like lockdown till May 15.
