Mumbai: The Bombay High Court heard on Thursday against the editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami of the Republic TV surrounded by the TRP scam case. The High Court, while hearing that the Mumbai police has not found any evidence against Arnab Goswami in the three-month investigations, could prove him and the ARG outlier media guilty in the TRP scam.
The High Court Judge SS Shinde and Manish Pitale told the Maharashtra government that the government should issue a statement if no evidence has been found against the editor-in-chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami in the case so far. At the same time, he asked the Thackeray government of Maharashtra as to when the ongoing investigation on Arnab Goswami would be completed.
The Bombay High Court on Tuesday wanted to know what prompted the Mumbai police to hold a press conference last year over the alleged 'Television Rating Points' scam. A bench comprising Justices SS Shinde and Manish questioned, "Is it the responsibility of the police to communicate with the press?" The court asked ''why the Commissioner of Police had to talk to the press?''
