Rhea Chakraborty's bail plea to be heard in Bombay High Court today

Mumbai: The Bombay High Court will pronounce its verdict today on the bail plea of Rhea Chakraborty, who is imprisoned in a drug angle surfaced in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Rhea Chakraborty and Shwoik Chakraborty filed a petition in the sessions court as well as the Bombay High Court. The petition will be heard today.

The court was closed on Wednesday due to heavy rains, so Rhea Chakraborty's plea could not be heard. Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty has suffered a major setback from the sessions court. The sessions court has extended the judicial custody of Rhea Chakravarty till 6 October. On Tuesday, the actress was detained and presented in court through video conferencing. From where her bail plea has been turned down.

On the other hand, Rhea Chakraborty has accused the NCB of claiming that she is innocent in this case. Rhea said that she has been a victim of 'witch hunt' (search operation of suspects). In the bail petition filed in the High Court on Tuesday, Chakraborty has said that she is only 28 years old and is facing three cases and 'parallel media trials' by the police and central agencies along with the NCB investigation.
