ridevi's ashes were taken by husband Boney Kapoor in a private jet and will be taken to the holy island town of Rameswaram today and buried in the sea there. The nation is still in shock that Sridevi is no more with us. The actress, who began her film career at the age of four, won millions of hearts all over the world. She worked in almost 300 films in Hindi, Tamil Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. And now she has bid us a final farewell.
Sridevi was also accorded State Honours and was wrapped in the tricolor as the actor adorned her favorite red and golden kanjeevaram saree. When Sridevi was taken to the cremation ground, Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were her side.
Sridevi's ashes were brought by Boney in a special aircraft and will be taken to holy island town of Rameswaram today and immersed in the sea there. Sridevi’s native place in Tamil Nadu, Meenampatti in Sivakasi Taluk was also grief-stricken when they got to know about the tragic incident.
The actor died of accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub in Dubai where she had gone to attend a relative’s wedding ceremony.
