 Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said a plan for a peaceful resolution has been established based on the proposals of three regional committees consisting of state representatives.

On Tuesday, the Assam chief minister said an all-party conference was conducted during the day, during which the representatives of the various parties were briefed on the progress made thus far. Ranoj Pegu and Ashok Singhal of Assam, as well as Debabrata Saikia, the leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, were among those who attended the meeting at the State Guest House in Koinadhara. 

.''We've reached this stage after several rounds of CM-level talks on the matter,'' he added. ''Our efforts to resolve Assam-Meghalaya border row have started bearing fruits as 6 of the 12 areas of difference have been identified for resolution in the first phase,'' he said in another tweet.
